Balsica Tower
Balsica Tower was built at the end of XIV - beginning of XV century on order of the Balšić dynasty ruling Montenegrin lands within Skoder region. They have chosen Ulcinj as a capital, that's why some buildings having common history with this powerful family have been preserved. Later, when the town was conquered by the Ottoman, the Turks have completed the third floor to the tower and reconstructed the hall with spherical vault on the ground floor.
The tower in Ulcinj is built on the highest spot of the Old Town and is high on its own, therefore the top floor provides very beautiful three side view to the Adriatic sea. Today Balsica Tower is used as an Art gallery and place for poetry events.
