The Zhmrlevica Cave
The cave is located on the territory of the Nationa Park Skadar Lake and presents a unique natural reserve consisted of numerous natural and historical sightseeing.
The lake is good for science exploration as well as for a pleasant rest. Lovers of speleological expeditions can explore local water with the hidden interesting caves inside.
There is an uphill and overgrown path leading to the cave. The entrance to the cave is on the Eastern side of the mountain. Its size is 8,3m and 2,3m, located at a height of 110m. There is hidden underground channel with the length 150m, its walls are strewn with various decorations, which have been forming for some centuries. At the end of the main channel, there is a vertical way down leading to a small underground lake. In winter, the whole cave is filled with water. In summer, when water goes down, the cave is available for visiting. This hydrographic feature lets attribute it to a periodical river cave type.
