Mountain Lake is located at an altitude of 1285 m, in the town of Zabljak, near the place Zminats at the foot of the Sinjajevina mountain, and is a part of the Durmitor National Park.
The name of the lake is named after the village, next to it, while officially it is a part of the Durmitor National Park and is part of another mountain range Sinjajevina.
Coniferous forests and meadows give it a special charm. Tourists often come there in search of the classic rural landscapes. Zminichko lake is surrounded by woods and fields.
The lake is located at 1285 meters above sea level, its length is 280 m, width - 240 m.
The maximum depth is 3.8 m, close to the bank does not exceed 0.7 m, in the summer the water in the lake warms up.
The main sources of water in the lake in spring is snowmelting, and the lake is drained much in the hot season. This lake has a special kind of "leeches", which are widely used for folk-medicine.
There is a large number of wild ducks and other waterfowl on the bank.
