Diving in Montenegro is a great opportunity during the holidays to see and enjoy the beauty and diversity of the underwater world of the Adriatic sea. Off the coast of Montenegro, in the open Adriatic sea and in the Bay of Kotor, there are many wonderful dive sites: wrecks, underwater caves, reefs, tunnels for submarines and much more.
The diving club Peoples located in the resort town of Herceg Novi and has for many years successfully works and accepts divers from all over the world.
With a diving club "Peoples" you can see the most interesting sights of the underwater world of Montenegro. We organize immersion (trial or daily) for certified divers and for beginners and also teach scuba children on the international system PADI. In addition, we organize diving for groups of divers.

Diving in Montenegro has a great diversity of unusual dive sites. Wrecks in the Adriatic sea, underwater caves, coral reefs – all of this you can see while scuba diving in Montenegro. Lovers of sunken ships, we show the most interesting wrecks in Montenegro. Underwater grottos and caves in the Adriatic sea, the cave diving. Novice divers in Montenegro will also be interested in: diving on the reefs, the diving around the island of Mamula, diving in the tunnels for submarines and many other unique dive sites.

1. PATROL BOAT PBR 512 (42.399161, 18.570363)
Patrol boat PBR 512 was founded in the city of Kralovice in 1952 at the shipyard "Titovo brodogradilište". Was in the ranks of the naval forces of Yugoslavia until 1972.
During military exercises in 1983 Patrol boat PBR 512 acted as targets for development of missile launches, trapped in a shell made in the ship a big hole, and a patrol ship sank in the Adriatic sea at the exit of the Bay of Kotor. The length of the ship is 40 m and width 6 m. Very popular dive site in Montenegro, as currently the vehicle is in excellent condition. Good visibility under the water at this dive site allows you to take great underwater pictures.

2. TUNNELS FOR SUBMARINES (42.425002, 18.549684)
Dive site "Tunnels for submarines" in Montenegro – a unique place for diving. The tunnels were military targets, which were based Yugoslav submarines. The length of the tunnel about 50 m, width – 7 m. Now these objects are used by the military. During immersion in the tunnels for submarines, you can see corals, octopus and other inhabitants of the underwater world of the Adriatic. For diving in the tunnels for submarines needed an additional item of underwater equipment – underwater lights. The depth of the tunnel is 8 m. near the entrance the depth is increased to 30 m. the Tunnel for submarines connected with the premises where the storage of fuel, ammunition, facilities with diesel engines etc. All these facilities divers can visit after diving in a tunnel for submarines.

3. ROSA (42.428142, 18.554946)
Rosa is an ancient settlement located at the entrance to Boka Bay. Stayed here military and commercial vessels. During a dive about the Dew you can see the ancient chains, anchors, cores, and fragments of pottery (jugs, amphorae, plates, etc.). This dive site in Montenegro has historical value. After the dive, divers can explore the village of the Dew, to see the sights. Trial about Rosa can be due to the bottom topography (gentle slope).

4. THE ISLAND WITH THE MAMULA FORT (42.396867, 18.558727)
The Mamula island (ancient name of the island Lastavica with the ancient Fort Mamula) – dive site where you can always see something new. Fort Mamula participated in various combat action for several centuries, in different periods of history, Fort Mamula was a defensive object, which defended the entrance to the Boka Bay, as well as a prison. Dip the Moms have as a military-historical character, as well as informative. 5. CAPE MOBILE (42.428346, 18.529150)
Cape Kobila - diving here is suitable for both beginners and experienced divers who dive for the first time in Montenegro. You can see many different types of corals on this dive site, as well as octopuses and other inhabitants of the Adriatic Sea.

6. SHIP "GALIA" (42.422083, 18.545497)
The Galia ship dive site is one of the oldest wrecks in Montenegro. The Galia was built and sank in the 16th century. The ship is 35 meters long and 11 meters wide. Only experienced divers can dive on the Galia ship Currently, you can see parts of the ship, anchors and cannons. Several cannons from the ship are raised to the surface, now they can be seen in the museum in the city of Herceg Novi. "Galia" is one of the most ancient ships that sunk in the Adriatic Sea.

7. SHIP "STAINLESS" (42.397284, 18.563410)
Austro-Hungarian torpedo boat "Goleshnitsa" series 76T - dive site located at the exit of the Boko-Kotor bay. The length of the ship is 57 m., The width of the ship is 5 m. The ship "Goleshnitsa" was made in the city of Trieste at the shipyard "Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino" in 1913. Since 1919 it was in the ranks of the fleet of the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, in 1920 The ship was modernized. In 1941, Italy captured the torpedo boat "Goleshnitsa", in 1943 the ship returned to Yugoslavia, it was the head ship. In 1955, the Holeshnitsa was sent to the reserve, and 4 years later it was expelled from the Navy. During the military exercises in 1960, the ship "Goleshnitsa" was used as a target and was sunk in the Adriatic Sea. Only experienced divers can dive on the Holeshnitsa ship. This diving site in Montenegro is very popular because the ship is in good condition.

8. THE SHIP "QUIET" (42.396995, 18.560554)
The Austro-Hungarian ship Tihany is a great place for diving in Montenegro, which is suitable only for experienced divers. Tihany is a cargo and passenger ship. In 1917, he transported coal, due to a navigation error, he hit Cape Arza and sank in the Adriatic Sea near the island of Mamula. The ship is 45 m long and 5 m wide. The Tihany ship is located at a depth of 42 m. To dive onto the Tihany wreck, it is recommended to take an additional element of underwater equipment - underwater lights. Since the ship did not have significant damage, this wreck is still in excellent condition. This is a popular dive site in Montenegro, recommended for visiting fans of wreck diving.

9. BLUE CAVE (42.373938, 18.594917)
The Blue Cave in Montenegro is a very popular place. This is a large cave, the entrance to which is on the surface of the water. Due to the natural light, the water in the cave seems fantastic blue. During diving in the Blue Cave, you can see a large number of different types of fish, moray eels, octopuses, etc. Due to the natural light in the cave, underwater lights are available on request. The Blue Cave dive site is a very beautiful place created by nature, where you can make interesting dives with our diving club.

10. GOLDEN SHAFT (42.379201, 18.589724)
The diving site Zlatna Vala (also known as the Golden Bay) is a large underwater cave without natural light about 25 m long, its entrance is at a depth of 9-11 m. For diving in Zlatna Val, an additional element of underwater equipment is needed - underwater lanterns. Zlatna Vala is one of the largest underwater caves in Montenegro. Here you can see a wide variety of representatives of the underwater world: lobsters, shrimps, hermit crabs, etc. Only experienced divers can dive in the Zlatna Val.

Poseidon City is a dive site, which is a lot of underwater caves located at different depths, surrounded by a large number of reefs. All caves have natural light. This is a unique place for diving in Montenegro, it is amazing in its beauty. During the dive on the "Poseidon City" you can see various representatives of the fauna of the Adriatic Sea.

12. SIREN HALL (42.365646, 18.607413)
"Siren hall" – a very interesting dive site in Montenegro, which is well worth a visit. "Siren hall" is through an underwater cave, which looks like a vertical corridor located under water, has natural light. Entrance to the underwater cave is at a depth of 5 m, and the outlet is at a depth of 30 m. diving in Siren hall requires an additional element of the underwater equipment – underwater lights. 13. SHIP "HIGGINS" (42.431464, 18.584963)
Dive site "the Ship "Higgins" - a popular place for diving in Montenegro. Located on the "Higgins" can only divers with extensive diving experience, as the ship is at a depth of 30 - 35 m. Yugoslav torpedo boat "Higgins" was laid at the shipyard "M. Cetinic" (Korcula island) in 1952. Modernized in 1964. Under unknown circumstances sank in 1974. To dive on the wreck of the "Higgins" it is recommended to take an additional item of underwater equipment – underwater lights. The ship length – 23 meters width - 6 meters.

14. THE SHIP PR-38 "TUNJ" (42.494129, 18.689178)
Dive site "the Ship PR-38 "Tunj" – a perfect place in Montenegro, as currently the vehicle is in excellent condition. Military tugboat PR-38 "Tunj" was built in Split shipyard "Brodogradjevna industrija Split" in 1954. Was in the ranks of the naval forces of Yugoslavia, in 1975, was modernized. Since 2006, as a military tug ship PR-38 "Tunj" was in the ranks of the naval forces of Montenegro. In 2009, the tug PR-38 "Tunj" was sold to a private company. In October 2013, the ship PR-38 "Tunj" sank in Boka Bay nedalco from Perast. The ship lies at a small depth, so is suitable for all categories of divers. During the dive on a military tugboat PR-38 "Tunj" you can see crabs, octopus, cuttlefish and other underwater inhabitants of the Adriatic sea.
